Youth on the Move for Christ

Mission Statement

To be committed to working, worshipping, witnessing, and assisting the needy, at home and abroad. Seeking to lead women into a personal relationship with Christ while striving to be a vessel for the purpose of doing His will.

The Women's Ministry focuses on different ways to build God's Kingdom. For example, we have monthly meetings to devise the different ways we an add to the Kingdom of God through scripture (Bible Study), community work (helping the less fortunate), and through Home and Foreign Mission.

Scriptures:

II Timothy 2:15

"Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Proverbs 14:21

"It is a sin to despise one's neighbor, but blessed is the one who is kind to the needy."

Matthew 25:45

"And he will answer, 'I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me."

About The Women's Ministry

The Shiloh Women's Ministry is comprised of the women of Shiloh Baptist Church. However, we welcome women that are not affiliated with a church, and those who have yet to accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savior to fellowship with us.

This Ministry was previously named "Shiloh's Mission Ministry". The first President was the late, matriarchal figure. Mother Elizabeth Wesley. There is also a Women's Ministry Circle that bears her name.

Over the years, we have had some very pristine women to hold the title of Mission President. Women such as Mother Elizabeth Wesley (deceased), past First Lady Lily V. Brazill (deceased), and Mother Mina McClarron, just to name a few.

We can attest that the road has not always been easy, but with hard work and the grace of God, the Women's Ministry continues to flourish.

Through Shiloh, the Women's Ministry is affiliated with the Ebenezer Baptist District Association (E.B.D.A.), the North Pacific Baptist Convention (N.P.B.C.), and the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

We provide Local, State, National, International support to various organizations, and charities.

  • We participate in the Ebenezer Baptist District Association Annual Blanket Drive.
  • We established the "Adopt a Senior" Program.
  • We provide the homeless with personal hygiene supplies. During the winter months, we also provide them with blankets, gloves, and other items.
  • We make donations towards scholarships for those furthering their education.
  • We contribute to the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Foreign Mission Work.
  • We sponsor children in Haiti and Santo Domingo through our partnership with Compassion International.
  • We also raise funds that allow us to assist with Home and Foreign Mission.

These programs also allow us to fellowship with the Women Ministries of other churches, and most importantly, the programs provide us a conduit to reach the unchurched sisters out in the community.
