“LET EVERYTHING BE DONE DECENTLY AND IN ORDER”
1 CORINTHIANS 14:40
1. The Pastor will appoint a Head Nominating Committee.
2. The Head Nominating Committee will meet with every Ministry for the purpose
of divulging information on nomination process.
1. The current president or chairperson will appoint a nominating committee
within ministry (no more than three person)
2. The nominating committee surveys the ministry for potential and interesting
members who would like to serve as officers of that particular ministry
(members already active in that ministry preferred). No person will be
nominated without their permission.
3. Provide interesting members with Biblical Qualifications for leadership (see
page 2)
4. Provide interesting member with a detail written job description.
5. Notify all members by way of letter or announcement at ministry meeting
stating time and place of election date (two weeks prior to election).
6. Notify two Deacons or Deaconess to facilitate the election.
7. The facilitator will declare all positions that term has expired to be vacant. Then
proceed with the election.
8. The members with the most votes names will be turned over to the Head
Nominating Committee (2 nd Sunday in December).
9. In case of tie, the Nominating Committee will pray, and then write both names
on a piece of paper, fold them up and then pick one. The person with the most
picks will be submitted for the position (Acts 1:12-26).
10. The Head Nominating Committee will submit elected persons name to the
pastor and after prayerful consideration, barring no complications the pastor
will present newly elected officers to the church for installation (1 st Sunday of
January).
Jesus called the Apostles (leaders) to follow Him. (Matthew 4:21)
The Apostles called the people together for the purpose of choosing leaders to
oversee a distribution ministry. The people chose the seven, the Apostles appointed
the seven (Acts 6:1-7)
