“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren for brethren to dwell together in unity!” Psalm 133:1 - NKJ
“Therefore, if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interest, but also for the interest of others.” Philippians 1-4 – NKJ
Assembling together in the Spirit of Christ, maintaining unity among the brethren, empowering each other more than one’s self, to be bound in the love of Christ
that we may be in covenant relationship with each other in Christ and that we may
carry out the mandates of Christ to serve this present age.
We are men of God, setting aside our personal differences and preferences, refusing to allow doubtful disputations, difference of opinion on non-essential matters that are designed by the enemy of Christ to divide us. Our conviction is we are stronger together in Christ.
To stand as men in Christ, protecting our families, being good stewards in our church and loving our friends and loved ones through our actions; remembering our duty toward humanity, the less fortunate, the oppressed, the outcast and left out in our society; to remember and implement the words of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., in times of comfort:
“And I’m simply saying this morning, that you should resolve that you will never become so secure in your thinking or your living that you forget 'the least of these'. In some sense, all of us are 'the least of these,' but there are some who are least than the least of these. I try to get it over to my children early, morning after morning, when I get a chance. As we sit at the table, as we did this morning in morning devotions, I couldn’t pray my prayer without saying, 'God, help us, as we sit at this table to realize that there are those who are less fortunate than we are. And grant that we will never forget them, no matter where we are.' And I said to my little children, 'I’m going to work and do everything that I can do to see that you get a good education. I don’t ever want you to forget that there are millions of God’s children who will not and cannot get a good education, and I don’t want you feeling that you are better than they are. For you will never be what you ought to be until they are, what they ought to be.' ”
This is not an exclusive list of goals set by the Men Ministry of the church, but goals that
